MoodPoem ist die konsequente Übersetzung eines analogen und organischen Lichtprinzips, welches alle Farben immer in ein harmonisches Verhältnis zueinander setzt. Die beiden entgegengesetzten Farbmischungsverfahren (additive Farbsynthese/subtraktive Farbmischung) verbinden sich in der Lichtskulptur. Der mittelformatige Diarahmen gibt dem Objekt seine Form und öffnet ein Spiel in einem dreidimensionalen Raum aus Farbe. Die Idee des MoodPoems stammt aus einer Lichtinstallation mit Diarahmen in Köln (2012, Cube Room). Darauf aufbauend entstanden erst die SlideFrames in einer kleinen Auflage von fünf Stück, welche noch mit Diarahmen gefertigt wurden. Der MoodPoem hingegen ist nur 35 mm tief und funktioniert somit als interaktives und hängbares Lichtbild. Das Platinendesign, die Entwicklung und Fertigung der smarten LEDs wird nun in Zusammenarbeit mit einer professionellen Lichtmanufaktur in München erarbeitet. Über ein spezielles Farbverfahren mit Pigmenten und Tinte auf dem Glas wird eine ganz besondere Brillanz an Farbwirkung geschaffen, die aber für jedes Objekt individuell von Hand als eigener Rhythmus komponiert wird. Somit ist jede Arbeit der 8er-Auflagen ein Einzelstück, bei dem die theoretisch unendlichen Möglichkeiten der Technologie über die Ebene der Filter und des Lichtspektrums bewusst limitiert wird.

MoodPoem is the logical translation of an analog and organic lighting principle that always places all colors in harmonious relation to one another. The two opposing color mixing processes (additive color synthesis/subtractive color mixing) are combined in the light sculpture. The medium-format slide frame gives the object its shape and opens up a play in a three-dimensional space of color. The idea for MoodPoem originated from a light installation with slide frames in Cologne (2012, Cube Room). Building on this, the SlideFrames were first produced in a small edition of five pieces, which were still made with slide frames. The MoodPoem, on the other hand, is only 35 mm deep and thus functions as an interactive and hangable light image. The circuit board design, development, and production of the smart LEDs is now being developed in collaboration with a professional lighting manufacturer in Munich. A special coloring process using pigments and ink on the glass creates a very special brilliance of color, which is composed individually by hand for each object as its own rhythm. Thus, each work in the edition of eight is a unique piece in which the theoretically infinite possibilities of the technology are deliberately limited to the level of filters and the light spectrum.
